23 June 2017
You can play a part in shaping health and care services in Hackney at two meetings organised by the local Healthwatch Hackney watchdog group.
On 6 July, a conference dubbed "People as Partners" will discuss "co-production principles" for Hackney and the City of London. Co-production is when people who use services work together in equal partnership with the organisations that run them to design better services.
Participants will hear about examples of effective co-production around the country and discuss how co-production can work in our area. This is an opportunity for local people to influence how services are designed and reshaped.
You can register online here or call 020 7923 8358. The event is free, but participants are asked to book their place in advance.
Local residents are also invited to take part in Healthwatch Hackney's annual general meeting (AGM) on 12 July.
At the AGM you will be able to hear about Healthwatch Hackney’s achievements over the past year and have your say on our priorities for the year ahead. There's also an opportunity to meet the Healthwatch Hackney board members.
The second part of the AGM will include a special focus on mental health in Hackney.
