The autumn 2017 issue of Hackney Senior – the magazine by older people, for older people in Hackney – is out now.
The quarterly publication from Connect Hackney includes real-life stories and reports by local over 50s, with lots of information about social activities and groups that older people can join to have fun and make new friends.
This issue of Hackney Senior features stories by members of our Senior Citizens’ Media Group, including Martin's look at World War One conscientious objectors, Faith's story of living with depression, what it was like when Eugenia first came to Hackney, Edilia asking why toilets in public places are so often up or downstairs, and much more.
Hackney Senior now includes What's On listings, with free and low-cost events, clubs and classes for local over 50s – find something that's fun for you!
You can view or download the magazine here – or get in touch to request the full-colour printed magazine for yourself or any older Hackney residents you know.
Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Kim on 020 7923 1962 to get a free copy of the magazine in the post.
