Are you aged 50-plus? Are you interested in social issues? Would you like to help make Hackney a place where older people stay active and socially connected?
We’re looking for local residents to join the Connect Hackney older people’s committee.
We will be bringing people together to help shape Connect Hackney’s work for the future. We’d love to hear from you if you would like to be part of the committee.
What we do
Connect Hackney is working with older people and our local partner organisations to make it easier for people aged over 50 to stay in touch with friends and involved in the local community.
Connect Hackney is part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Ageing Better programme, which is aimed at reducing and preventing social isolation among people aged 50 and over. It is managed by Hackney CVS.
Research is an important part of our work – we want to understand what can best help older people to stay connected and active in the community, in ways that suit them.
